Emma Owen
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER / PRODUCER
Emma Owen is an experienced film and television producer with a proven track record across feature films, short films, animation, and international co-productions.
Over the course of her career, Emma has produced numerous short films and has served as Associate Producer on acclaimed and award-winning projects including The Clockmaker's Dream and Skunky Dog. Her feature film credits include Fishbowl City, starring IFTA-winning actor Martin McCann, and Twiharder, a collaboration with Between the Line Productions in the United States.
Emma also worked as Production Manager on the internationally successful 3D animated feature Two by Two: Ooops! The Ark Has Gone!, produced by Moetion Films. The film became Ireland's highest-grossing box office release in 2015 and was distributed worldwide.
Most recently, Emma produced the feature film The Martini Shot, which boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Matthew Modine, Sir Derek Jacobi, John Cleese, Fiona Glascott, Stuart Townsend, and Jason London.
In addition to her producing work, Emma gained valuable experience as an Accounts Assistant within the film and television industry. This provided her with a strong foundation in production finance, including funding structures, budgeting, cashflow management, cost reporting, and financial tracking. This financial expertise has become a significant asset in her producing career, enabling her to balance creative ambitions with commercial and operational realities.
Known for her strong production leadership, strategic thinking, and collaborative approach, Emma has built a reputation for successfully delivering projects from development through financing and production to completion. Her combination of creative, operational, and financial expertise allows her to navigate the complex demands of modern film and television production with confidence.
Prior to transitioning into producing, Emma lived and worked in both London and Los Angeles, where she established a successful career as an actress. This experience provides her with a unique creative perspective and a deep understanding of storytelling, performance, and talent development, which continues to inform her work as a producer today.
LAURA RIGNEY
PRODUCER
Laura is a creative producer with over 20 years’ experience delivering film, theatre and multidisciplinary work in Ireland and internationally. She is currently collaborating with Babyjane Productions as a producer, supporting the development and production of new screen projects.
Her recent film credits include All That’s Carried (2024–2025), an award-winning short which received Best Irish Narrative Short at the Kerry International Film Festival and Best Foreign Short at the Arizona International Film Festival. Current projects include WORK|WERK, due for release in summer 2026, with both Perfect Mess and CHEER in development.
Laura brings a strong track record in strategic planning, financing, and partnership development, alongside a collaborative, artist-centred approach. She works closely with creative teams to realise projects with clarity, care, and robust production foundations, supporting distinctive voices from early development through to production and festival circulation.
CAREY FITZGERALD
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER / PRODUCER
Named by The Irish Post Business Year in Review as a Game Changer and one of the fifty influencers who made their mark in 2022, Carey is an experienced Film & TV Entrepreneur, Producer, Mentor & Lecturer in Film & TV. She has a long history in all areas of production, distribution, advertising, financing & global sales and marketing. She has enjoyed Oscar Nominations and Festival Selections along with a very wide range of commercially successful TV Commissions. Carey is the Founder and M.D. of Irish Silver Mountain Productions, the Film & TV production, distribution & training business and a partner with Len Collin in the UK's Ballpoint Films. She created the mental health film & arts festivals, Shout, which tour the UK and Ireland, as well founding the global female empowerment social enterprise, Wise Women. She is a Mentor for Screen Skills Ireland, WIFTV and Minding Creative Minds. In addition, Carey is the Chair of social inclusion charity, Ashford Place and Irish Film London.
